CLEVELAND — Perhaps no veteran has grappled with the slow pace of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ rebuild more than five-time All-Star forward Kevin Love.
Earlier this season Love said he would know better where the team stood after 25 games, then when that point came, he said he would have to push it back.

That impatience may not dissipate easily. Love’s displeasure over being fined for his behavior Dec. 31 led to an altercation at Saturday’s shootaround, and his frustration carried over to a play against the Oklahoma City Thunder that went viral hours later.
But a source said Love and Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman cleared the air in a discussion after Love’s blowup and moved on. Love later expressed his feelings for his teammates in an Instagram post.
After Saturday’s game, Love posted three pictures of himself with his arm around or hugging teammates Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman and Larry Nance Jr., the last photo including Tristan Thompson and Matthew Dellavedova. The caption read, "A lot of non truths being shared ... But I’ve learned that we live in a world where people remember accusations and not rebuttals. Let them paint whatever picture they want. Fact is — I love my teammates." It was followed by three muscle emojis.
Love, 31, rested with the Cavaliers hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in a back-to-back Sunday night, but coach John Beilein said it was not related to the anger Love exhibited Saturday.
